nvidia driver has to be manually loaded

shouldn't this take care of the loading of the module?

This was installed on my system by the package:

lupus at lupus /etc/modprobe.d $ cat nvidia-kernel-nkc
alias char-major-195* nvidia

something wrong with the file or with modprobe?
