Currently there are only two packages that are optimized for "better"
processors than i386: the kernel (which you can easily install as the
package 'linux-k7') and libc (package 'libc6-i686', but this should be
installed by default).
It does not really make much sense to build optimized versions for all
other packages, then speed gain is negligible. All packages are built
using the i486 command set (missing opcodes are emulated on real i386)
and AFAIK optimized for 586 (regarding opcode ordering).
