How to uncompress a rar file?

you miss the unrar binaries :)
it was talked about a few days/weeks ago, and the solution for me
was/is:
go to packages.debian.org and search for unrar.
use the unrar in the non-free section.
the one that can befound in testing/unstable didnt work for me on any
rar-file.
download the deb and install it through 'dpkg -i'
i really havent tested it through file-roller, but using the commanline
'unrar x somefile.rar' unpacks the file without a hitch.
