Eclipse 3: no packages for now (but should come "soon")
In fact, it is very easy to install. Just unzip the linux/GTK file you
downloaded into /usr/local/lib.
(I've also added an "eclipse" system group and change rights on the
eclipse subdirectories for updates or plugin additions)

Sun JDK: you can use the "java-package" from Debian Sid (unstable) to
create a debian package from Sun's .bin files (really easy). Works for
1.4 and 1.5.
