Thanks, that actually works for me. Not sure if it is because in your example you have two sets of quotes i.e "HWCursor" "false" or if it is the word 'false' instead of off. Using 'man savage'(I have a savage card), gives an example of "HWCursor off". That seems to be wrong. Anyway thanks for the help again. Andrew
