ETH Interface names

Matt, sorry, that didn't solve the problem. This is an AMD Athlon XP 
2500+, so I tried the latest -686:

  $ uname -a
Linux server 2.6.8.1-3-686 #1 Sat Oct 9 13:53:43 BST 2004 i686 GNU/Linux

I still don't get initialized my eth1 card (forcedeth).
