Firefox crashes on popups

That older (but security patched) version of firefox seems to work for
me.  I can now select links that spawn popups that used to kill my
browser previously.  Thanks for the fast help in getting this resolved
but it's not exactly easiest workaround for someone who might be new
to debian based distros.  ...or any distro for that matter.  Is there
a plan in place for getting this incorporated into a regular warty
repo so that people doing new installations of ubuntu won't have to
manually revert to an older version of firefox?
