Installed kernels

I realized that my notebook (Pentium IV) didn't have installed the i686
kernel but the i386.  Should I add this to bugzilla?  Which component?

Another thing is that the current installation (I installed with the
first RC) doesn't install the linux-image-i386/i686 package but just one
version of the kernel.  This makes impossible to automatically know that
there is a new kernel to update to.

If I have the linux-image-i386/i686 package and I update a kernel, is
the old kernel uninstalled?
