auto-mounting memory stick

Hi,

A few days ago I plugged the Memory Stick from my digicam into my card
reader, and it popped up just fine on my Ubuntu desktop. I run apt-get
update and apt-get upgrade everynight. Yesterday, when I popped in the
Memory Stick nothing happened. I'm not sure what change could have
happened that would prevent the disk from mounting.

I'm pretty noob when it comes to things like this, so I could use some
help. How would I figure out where the card reader/memory stick is in
/dev? Or, how can I go about mounting it manually?

Better yet, is there a fix for bringing back the auto-mount?

Also, I have checked out this big:

But right now my problem is that the system isn't recognizing the card at all.
