print 2 pages per sheet

Hi, 

On a laserjet 9000 I would like to print 2 pages per sheet (number-up=2), how do I do this? The option is not available
in the gnome-print-manager, so in which config file can I set this? (since cups webadmin is disabled I don't know how to
do this)
