anyone know details about how the acx100 kernel module was compiled?

But the question was what version is the acx100 kernel module? I have
the card working, and have tried it both suggested ways - ndiswrapper
works fine and so does using the installed acx100 kernel module as well
as compiling and installing the latest acx100 kernel module.
The reason I want a newer kernel module is that kismet
(http://www.kismetwireless.net/) will not work with the installed kernel
module.
The latest acx100 driver that is listed at acx100.sourceforge.net is
Version 0.2.0pre8

Could the developers please add the latest module to the kernel in the
next build?

I will post a how to as soon as I am satisfied that the method works for
satisfactorily, it may have broken my pcmcia as it no longer gives me an
audible beep when a card is inserted or upon initialization during boot.
Also, seen as most of my experience is with Red Hat based systems, is
there an equivalent to rc.d/init.d ? The self compiled kernel module has
its own start and stop scripts that I want to add as I am manually doing
it right now.

Thanks
Darren
