I had installed it last night (2 hours before posting the problem)
with the package downloaded during install.  I also checked for new
packages this morning before downgrading to the cd version.

I'm setting this up for my wife and I'm leaving for vacation in 2 days
for 5 weeks so as long as it works I'm not going to experiment.

I also installed flash from the debian non-free repository and real
with thier installer.  Everything seems to be fine now.

PS: Any people in Cadiz, Spain to meet up with from
8.10.2004-8.11.2004? If so, mail me.
