For me, personally, there is an overriding benefit of having the rss
feed reader as part of the browser: I have to change http proxy settings
frequently, moving from site to site, and with Sage, it will naturally
use the same settings. With straw it just became an additional hassle to
have to change the settings for it separately, and (at least when I
tried it last) then have to restart the application.
