Maybe you graphic card supports a hardware mouse cursor, but that does
not work properly. Can you please look in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
whether there is a line with "SWcursor"? You can try to disable the
hardware cursor by adding/changing
Option "SWcursor" "true"
in the "Device" section that is your graphics card.
Please report back the results, then we can see how to fix this.
