Ok.
I know warty is "frozen", but you might consider adding something like
ifplugd and waproamd to handle "plugging/unplugging" network adapters
(hotplug should also do it, no ?)

Magic ! It works now.
I updated my system a few hours before, and it still wasn't working.
The latest package seems to have correct the problem now.
