You could try the external AGP modules, and you can change that by
adding or changing the "Device" section in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 to:
Section "Device"
...(snip)...
Option "UseInternalAGPGART" "no"
...(snip)...
EndSection
If you want more details on doing that, ask.
I checked some benchmarks on the web, and you seen to be getting pretty
normal benchmarks. I think you may be confusing glxgears and
fgl_glxgears...
