question about putting a mounted share directory in / ??

Hi,
I don't know about the other things but to avoid those checking every
time you boot, you need to edit the file /etc/fstab and in the line that
says something like
/dev/hda5 /windows vfat defaults,user,auto,showexec,umask=0 0 0
make sure that the last two numbers are 0.
