Suggestions on Ubuntu default installation

Hi Everyone,

I recently installed Ubuntu Linux and it has worked very well for me.

I've recently worked on Fedora Core 2 and Fedora Core 3 test 2, the lean
installation of Ubuntu was very refreshing.

That being said, I think that the default installation should include
gcc and spamassassin/razor/pyzor.

Without these, the Evolution junk filters fail to work properly and
compiling new software fails.

Getting the software via a manual apt-get or using Synaptic was easy
enough but it would have saved time if these were readily available.
