Strange GDM problems!?

Just so you know, my 1st successful install was probably 6 days ago
(9-27-04), then I broke it and let it sit for 4 days. After I reinstalled
(twice), I had this bug. Could it be something that I am downloading that
is different between those 4 days? Or did I just get lucky the first time?
Keep in mind that I didn't actually do any upgrades after the install on
the 3rd install, but I still seem to have the problem--so it seems that
the bug was introduced, in the past 6 days, to whatever I download during
installation (when I say 'yes install stuff from the internet' after
rebooting from the CD).
Hope that this helps in the hunt?? If you need any more specs on my
hardware or anything, just ask!
