I've had good luck with the installer that Real provides. (not the
RPMs). I just downloaded, made it executable (chmod +x), and executed
it (./REALinstallerwhatever.bin).

It was mentioned here a week or so ago that the installer from Real
would replace some important system files, but if that's true I
haven't seen it. The linux version appears to behave itself. :)
