Not counting subdevice entries, there are well over 200 device names in
my copy of /usr/share/misc/pci.ids with ambiguous PCI IDs (I haven't
matched these up against vendor IDs, but it seems likely that most will
have matching vendor IDs too). We really need 'lspci -n' too.

Having the numeric information also makes it much quicker to handle at
my end.
