Another friendly tip: as dear "arctic" said, you can tell the bootloader
to install somewhere other than your MBR.  A good place to install it
-- especially if you are using other operating systems and another
bootloader -- is at the start of your root partition "/" (or at the start
of your "/boot" partition, if you have one).

Also... the (new) boot loader GAG is very very easy to use; try it!
