I don't believe Eric said that. AFAICT, he was advocating a GUI
solution as well, so people can easily handle this sort of thing. If
you want to use visudo instead, feel free to do so.

Please try to keep your language polite, and properly respectful towards
other operating systems. Calling Windows 'WinDoze' achieves nothing,
and only makes us as a community look silly and immature.

How is extra capability, a limitation?

No-one's proposing that it be removed.

If a GUI is provided, people who are interested in the specifics of the
format of the sudoers file can still learn it.
