libtiff bug (zero tile size; integer overflow)

I receive faxes from an online virtual fax server, which saves the
faxes as tif files (presumably using hylafax or something). Libtiff
apparently has an issue with these files (The GIMP gives a number of
errors, including "(filename).tif: cannot handle zero tile size" and
"Integer overflow in TIFFVTileSize").

According to Google, this is due to a bug in the libtiff4 package (Bug
#276783 & Bug#277192), which has seemingly been fixed in version 3.7.0
of libtiff. Is there an updated Ubuntu package I could use (I'm
running Warty), or should I download and install the Debian package?

Thanks,
Rudi
