if you use warty, the above cant work, use testing instead of unstable
as the release...
...but the transcode package seems to be broken currently, probably
someone with a free amount of bandwith is willing to offer a real ubuntu
based repository for these packages, to get these probs out of the
way...

btw: if you want to make backups of data to DVD, i heard growisofs is a
good tool.
