Problems installing Hoary

After doing some other work, I am installing Hoary back onto my laptop.

All goes well until the 'download from internet' stage where it checks
the sources, and then begins its work.

Gets just past laptop-detect and then fails, switching to a 'you've
got a problem' screen and then aptitude.

As a sanity check, I used my Warty CD and that started downloading
fine from the internet.

Any thoughts?
