Anyone using Ubuntu for a home mail and web server

just do custom install , install ubuntu-base and everything you'll need.
I'm thinking about installing a ubuntu server. But I think I'll install
a desktop environment for the ease of use (read : managing downloads
and be able to work directly on my own files with vnc from a remote
pc).

firestarter has internetsharing in its wizard.
