IBM THinkpad, using Intel IPW2200 WirelessG (Centrino) daemon log shows
the following:

Nov 24 21:41:10 localhost waproamd(eth1)[5544]: waproamd 0.6
initializing, using wireless event notifications.
Nov 24 21:41:10 localhost waproamd(eth1)[5544]: Enabling user space
roaming failed, doing without.
Nov 24 21:41:10 localhost waproamd(eth1)[5544]: Failed to get interface
quality
Nov 24 21:41:10 localhost waproamd(eth1)[5544]: Shutdown
Nov 24 21:41:10 localhost waproamd(eth1)[5544]: Exiting.

Tried manually starting it with the -e option and I got this:

Nov 24 22:01:41 localhost waproamd(=eth1)[5328]: waproamd 0.6
initializing.
Nov 24 22:01:41 localhost waproamd(=eth1)[5328]: Warning: Could not get
interface flags.
Nov 24 22:01:41 localhost waproamd(=eth1)[5328]: Enabling user space
roaming failed, doing without.
Nov 24 22:01:41 localhost waproamd(=eth1)[5328]: ioctl(SIOCGIWMODE): No
such device
Nov 24 22:01:41 localhost waproamd(=eth1)[5328]: Shutdown
Nov 24 22:01:41 localhost waproamd(=eth1)[5328]: Exiting.

However, some time after that I FINALY get a PID entry for it
in /var/run but running waproamd -c says it's NOT running, which seems
strange. basically I can't verify that it's running. Haven't rebooted
yet...that "=" sign might be screwing things up. But I need to get this
working...my new job will let my bring in my pretty new Linux laptop,
and if I'm gonna sell them on the idea of Linux desktops, this has to
work. They're WEPed, and WEPed different from my home net.
