"Broken" Upgrade

Hi there,
i encountered a problem after smart upgrading [im sorry... i used
Synaptic], after rebooting it all worked in 640*480, even if i cant find
such entry in the XF86Config-4 file.

I'm using nvidia binary drivers [..sorry Daniel]
on a tos"k"iba laptop.

This is the second time that happens, after the first i re-installed on
another partition[i didnt have the time, that i still dont have, due to
a peak of exams density, to investigate what caused it].
