strange errors in kernel compiling

hello

this is the error.

scripts/kconfig/mconf arch/Linux/Kconfig
can't find file arch/Linux/Kconfig
make[1]: *** [menuconfig] Error 1
make: *** [menuconfig] Error 2

i've already installed libncurses5-dev bin86 etc...etc...

i tried with vanilla source and ubuntu's linux-source. Someone have my same 
problem ? is this an ubuntu bug?
