bugzilla problem

Hello, I am one of the people with an HP Pavilion that have found that 
Ubuntu will not boot on their computer due to Bug 2355 in the ubuntu 
bugzilla.  The recomended solution was "leave lapic disabled if BIOS 
says so".  What does this mean?  Is their any way to get it to work on 
my computer untill they fix the released in the distro?  (i tried the 
hoary release, after i tried warty, and it was not working) Should I ask 
anyone on bugzilla about any of this?
