hmm, interesting my synaptic does not show nfs-user-server listed, I have
nfs-common which I installed.

when I run

 sudo apt-get install nfs-user-server

 I get

Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Package nfs-user-server is not available, but is referred to by another
package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package nfs-user-server has no installation candidate

 anyone?

 thanks,

         Dave.
