No shutdown on command

[use_real_email at volcano.xlogicgroup.com]

Just wanted to confirm Daniel Robitaille's tip. The problem being no
power off on shut down. I ended up with "power off" and my machine just
sitting there. Daniel's tip worked like a charm. My steps for this are:




Sudo gedit /etc/modules 



I added the term 'apm' to that file. I shut down my machine several
time to verify this modification. It worked everytime. I was concerned
that this wouldn't work with my old PC - PIII, 500MHz- but it did.
