.evolution directory disappeared when moving it - need help!

I experienced a similar problem yesterday: While playing around with
multisync and SyncML I accidentally executed rm -r ~/.evolution.

This way I lost 2 weeks of in- and out-going email traffic, I had a
backup fortunately. Mailing list discussions were re-imported from the
downloadable online archives.

Anyway mine was a damn human-error, the worst one.
