Yaboot error on PPC-installation on internal HD

I have the same problem, but I'm not so brave to proceed... here the
question:

I have a PowerBook G4 15" - 1,5 Mhz - 80 GB



I want to know if it's possible install ubuntu only in an external hd
firewire and start from this volume. Infact I need all the files on my
internal disk (it's about full)... I have a 60 GB external firewire hd
to install ubuntu.



Ah, I forget, I'm a beginner linux-user (I use mac and that's all)
