Suspend with Garrets kernel ills USB

Does anyone have the problem that suspend to ram makes USB nonfunctional
after resume?

It is not a driver issue (or, well, not solely a driver issue). When I
plug in a usb device (an usb HD in this case) I get this in dmesg:


usb 2-2: new high speed USB device using address 3
ub: sizeof ub_scsi_cmd 60 ub_dev 924
uba: device 3 capacity nsec 312581807 bsize 512
uba: was not changed
 /dev/ub/a: p1
usbcore: registered new driver ub

So it is recognized at a low level. It does not show up as a device, and
it is not being mounted, though.
