gaim-vv

I'm having a go at installing Gaim-vv but not getting terribly far. 
Using the instructions here
(http://gaim-vv.sourceforge.net/install.html) I've installed the
required libosip and Libj2k, but when "make"ing Linphone-im, I get the
following error:

On a hunch I used Synaptic to remove and reinstall the libatk package
(it was installed already) but that (rather predictably) had no effect.
I've not edited any environment variables since installing clean Warty
(I don't know how).  



Any ideas?
