you should rather do this in the /dev dir, not in the snd subdir....but
anyway, your snd_mixer_oss modules is loaded, so there is certainly
a /dev/mixer .... the question is if it works, and if not, what blocks
it ?

a better commant would be 
lsmod|grep snd 
which would show all other sound related modules instead of only your
card...(and indicate device related conflicts) 

reagrding the information you already provided (which actually looks
very good), i would try to use different boot options like (i.e. press
esc on boot and edit with the e option):

pci=noacpi
or
acpi=off
