Sound, The saa7134-0.2.8 chipset and ubuntu

Hi,

Just switched over to Ubuntu and every things works great bah the
television card. The television card (chipset saa7134-0.2.8) produces
visuals but fails to produce any audio. I have looked on the web but
most of the problems are unhelpful solves by upgrading without much
details.
I am based in the uk and have presumed that the card receives PAL.

Dmesg contains the following errors
saa7134[0]/audio: audio carrier scan failed, using 4.500 MHz [last
