LiveCD locales

As far as I know, the LiveCD only comes in English. Is it possible to 
"recreate" the LiveCD in your own locale? That would be great for 
demonstrating to people who aren't good in English (or even kind of 
scared of it), or for showing off the work of a translation team.

How could that be accomplished? I couldn't find anything on the Ubuntu 
wiki.
