I don't see anything on that page to say they're compatible (or not) 
with Linux.

Avoid broadcom and TI, you're likely to require ndiswrapper on IA32 and 
be up stinky creek on other platform.

People are trying to write drivers for them, but without vendor docs 
it's difficult.

Atheros-based carda are (mostly) okay.
