Last time I installed webmin (which was quite some time ago, and 
certainly not on U) it took the then-current root password and used it 
for its own, in its own private place. Changing root password later did 
not change W's idea of the root password.

If it still does that, installing it without a root password already set 
will leave webmin unusable you learn to crack it.
