[hoary] initial usability reactions

Speaking for myself, I never have anything on my Windows desktop - it
seems pointless, when having almost any app open means I can no longer
access anything on it. I use TweakUI to remove even the recycle bin.
So for me, Ubuntu's setup makes perfect sense; I don't have to
minimize things to get at my programs. It may be a little strange for
those coming from Windows, but it doesn't take much time to adapt, and
it's much better in the long run.
