gaim file transfer

I've been using Ubuntu Warty for AMD64 since the preview release now,
and I have been unable to successfully complete a file transfer using
gaim.  I'm signed on and using the AIM protocol, and I have no idea if
this is an issue with aim, gaim 1.0.0, ubuntu wary, amd64, etc.  Has
anyone else had this problem, or know of a fix?  Is this a known bug
that will be fixed with later versions of gaim and be fine in hoary?
