harmless(?) hotplug errors on boot

Hi all,
	I have successfully installed Ubuntu 4.10 on my Mitac 8060b laptop.
Everything seems to work fine, except the following:
After the hotplug service starts it attempts to load the shpchp and
pciehp modules. They fail and I don't need them. How can I stop hotplug
from trying to load them? I'm new to the Debian Way (tm) and so I don't
want to break anything.
