Trash Applet Broken

Now this is scary.
I tried replacing my ~/.ICEauthority file, I tried reinstalling the
trash applet. None worked.
So I did a VERY un-linux thing -- I rebooted my computer.
Now the trash applet works as expected. Go figure.
