Windows codecs & MPlayer

For me, the mplayer GUI isn't working: When I'm playing a movie, an
error message keeps popping up (very, fast, so that one can hardly read
it) that mplayer can't find the device /dev/mixer. However, mplayer via
terminal is working without any errors.

Any ideas. Thanks
