Sound problem

Ok, this is wierd. Sound in GNOME seems to be working fine, but some of
the SVGALIB and SDL apps (SuperTux and LBreakout specifically) aren't
getting sound anymore, and I just tested playing a DVD through GXINE and
that's not getting sound either. I'm not sure what would have happened,
so I'm not sure how to fix it. I DID notice that the volume control in
the GNOME panel shows both the OSS mixer and the ALSA mixer.

I should probably mention that before this happened, I tested booting
with a custom kernel (which had OSS disabled, among other things...it's
my understanding nearly everything uses ALSA these days) but my wireless
card (IPW2200) didn't load with it, so I removed the custom kernel and
went back to the Ubuntu 2.6.8.1-686. Dunno thy I didn't grab the
wireless...I had it compiled in.
