Ultra-SCSI help needed

I have an SGII Ultra-SCSI AP-40 PCI card that I'd like to get to work
with Ubuntu.  I looked in the device manager and can see the card. It is
identified as a INI-940 by Initio corp.

I looked under /dev and see nothing that looks like the card or the
attached tape drive.

I am a noob in Linux so any advice needs to be easy to understand.

Is there any help that anyone can provide.  I've been watching the list
and have put "sg" into the /etc/modules file.  

Any help or suggestions would be extremely appreciated.
