FreeNX no longer working on Warty

Background:
I just did a fresh install of Warty. Having helped my girlfriend
installing it before on her play-workstation I immediately tried to
install the ohh-so-helpful FreeNX using the guide here on the forums.
It failed...
Problem:
The remedy was that the new packages (since the howto was posted) need
a newer version of libpng (>= 1.2.7 to be exact). The libpng in Warty
is a too old (1.2.5). More exactly it was the libnxcompext0 and
libnxcomp0 that depended on a libpng >= 1.27. You can check easily
check dependencies by checking properties on the packages in Synaptic.
Solution:
There might be easier ways to do this. I simply added:
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hoary main
deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hoary main
to the /etc/apt/sources.list and reloaded the package-lists. Hoary
happends to have libpng 1.2.7-1 so I thought that should solve my
problem. So after adding hoary to the sources.list I just followed the
FreeNX howto and this time everything worked like a charm.
Good luck!
